California Privacy Act Compliance
Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits our visitors who are California residents to request certain information regarding its disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. SideOrder is not designed or intended for use by children under 13. If you are under 18, you should use SideOrder only with involvement of a parent or guardian. Children under 13 may not submit any Personally Identifiable Information (as defined below) to us, and if we discover that we have inadvertently gathered any such information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Personally Identifiable Information
Personally identifiable information is information that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, mailing address, phone number, email address ("Personally Identifiable Information"). When you sign up for or use the Site, SideOrder collects some amount of Personally Identifiable Information from you. SideOrder also collects Personally Identifiable Information that you may voluntarily provide when you use the Site (such as a rating/review page, message board or chat room), or that you may include if you communicate with SideOrder.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
SideOrder collects information from you automatically when you use the Site or other Service. However, the information that SideOrder collects automatically does not contain Personally Identifiable Information. The automatically collected information may include information such as your browser type, the URL of the previous Web sites you visited, the Web pages and advertisements you view or select, the type of Service you use and the searches you conduct. This information also may include your preferences, such as the restaurants from which you have ordered. SideOrder also collects information that does not include Personally Identifiable Information when you voluntarily provide it (such as in response to a questionnaire or survey) or post it to a public area of the Site or other Service (such as a rating/review page, message board or chat room).
Technologies We Use
A log file is a file we maintain on our servers, that lists technical information about people who visit our site. It is in the log file that we store the technical information we described above, that is, IP address, browser type, language, and referring web page.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
The Way We Use Information
We will not sell any of your personal information.
We use the personal information you provide to us online:
- To ensure our website is relevant to your needs by evaluating the effectiveness of our products and services.
- To deliver services, such as letting you know about new restaurants, and to request your participation in surveys or other promotions.
- SideOrder also uses Personally Identifiable Information to process and fulfill your orders.
Sharing of Your Information
We do not sell personal information. We also do not share your information with any third parties except under the following very limited circumstances:
- As you Explicitly Allow: We may view information about you as you provide it prior to the election/vote or explicitly allow us to.
- Agents Acting on Our Behalf: We may share some of your information with other business partners who provide us with technical services. They will be granted access to only that information which is necessary for them to do their jobs. Any agents to whom we grant access to your information are contractually barred from using or releasing that information outside of the specific task we have asked them to perform. We have various agreements, policies, safeguards and certifications to ensure that these agents do not sell, distribute or use this information. We use a third party agent to host our chat feature on the Site.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information pursuant to judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants, or orders. We may also disclose your information if it is required to comply with the law, or with legal process served upon us, defend our legal rights or our property, or to act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of our clients, employees, partners, or members of the public.
Sharing with Social Networks or Other Sites You May Authorize
If you are a member of a social network service (such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.) or you use other Internet sites where you have authorized them to gather information about your online behavior on SideOrder (for instance, to share a favorite restaurant with your friends), including participation in any behavioral reporting program that they may operate on or off of their own site (i.e., Facebook Beacon, etc.), SideOrder may share information regarding your activities on our Site or other Service with those third parties pursuant to your authorization, and they may associate that information with Personally Identifiable Information they already have about you (such as your Facebook Profile) and use it to improve their site or services or for other purposes. SideOrder does not control the privacy policies of such third parties, and their privacy policies will govern their use of your information once it has been transmitted by SideOrder. SideOrder assumes no responsibility or liability for the actions of such third parties with respect to their use of your information or otherwise. Accordingly, make sure you are aware of and comfortable with the privacy policies of any third parties that you authorize to gather information from SideOrder.

Our website contains links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by our website or our software.
HOW WE SAFEGUARD YOUR INFORMATION
SideOrder, Inc. may host its software with a highly secure third party data center that provides hardware, operating system software, and connectivity. All hosted environments meet or exceed physical security requirements, including:
- A single point of entry to hosting areas
- A monitored main point of entry, with additional points of entry for emergency use only
- Surveillance cameras in the hosting facility to monitor access to and use of the facility
- Access validation with biometric identity check
- Access to SideOrder’s hardware by SideOrder authorized persons only
Additionally, SideOrder allows access to its software and databases only to SideOrder personnel or authorized agents of SideOrder who have a demonstrated need to access the software or databases for a particular task.
Our Commitment to Data Security
Our website and our software both have security measures in place to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the data under our control. We use industry best practices to secure your information, including technology, internal processes and controls, and management processes and controls that ensure that your information is kept as secure as possible. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to protect information using both server authentication and data encryption to help ensure that your information is safe, secure, and available only to you. We also implement an advanced security method based on dynamic data and encoded session identifications, and host our website, and our software, in a secure server environment that uses firewalls, passwords, and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Finally, we provide unique user names and passwords that must be entered each time a user logs in to our site. These safeguards help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of your information.
CHANGES TO YOUR INFORMATION OR TO THIS POLICY
To get a complete record of the personal information associated with your account, to change any of that information, or to request that we delete your account, please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you request a change to your personal information, or you request us to delete your account, we will make the change or delete your account within 30 days after we receive your request.
